Wednesday and Thursday

I wanted to bring everyone up to speed with what has been going on here. It is still extremely hot, but that has not dampened anyone's spirits. I truly believe it's because of the winter that we have all experienced. It isn't bothering us...yet. Wednesday morning we went to meet the Mayor of the city of San Pedro. San Pedro is a community of over 300,000 people. We were all ushered into the mayor's office. We spent some time with him. He ended up inviting us to lunch at a country club in Tagutay Highlands. The place was incredible, the food was delicious and it was a really unique opportunity for our young people to spend some time with the Mayor. I believe he was very impressed with our young people.
After lunch we made our way back to the church. I had the privilege of preaching. I was extremely tired, but the Lord blessed. Afterwards we had dinner and all made our way to bed.
Thursday was incredible. We loaded up at 8:45 am and made our way to the San Pedro Manpower Training Center. There we were able to preach and the young people shared their testimonies. We saw 209 souls trust Christ as their Savior in the morning! Wow! We then made our way to a mall (the girls were thrilled) and were able to exchange our US cash for Pesos. A little shopping was done but we were not able to be there long. We then made our way to ISPL which is an electronics company here in the Philippines. They have been doing a Bible study during their lunch hour once a week. We were able to preach in this company's breakroom! Imagine doing that in America. The room was packed (probably 60 or more), the General Manager and President of ISPL was there. I was able to preach. We were amazed at the opportunity. We made our way back to the church and had lunch around 2:00. After lunch we had a brief choir practice for our young people and then returned to the San Pedro Manpower Training Center. There we saw an additional 424 souls that trusted Christ bringing our one day total to 633! Our kids (and adults) were thrilled to see God at work. Tonight we had a revival service with many young people and church members. The church was packed. I had the privilege of preaching. It was a wonderful service.
Thank you all for your prayers. It is wonderful to see all of the comments in the comments section of the blog. Our kids all looked at them today and were thrilled to see that you all are interested in our progress. Brother Laurena is praying that before we leave we will see 2000 souls trust Christ! He said that our flight will be canceled if we don't see it. Parents, please pray! God bless you all.

How very exciting to see all that God is doing there. I am so proud of you all. Hey McLaine, I heard you were sick. Are you feeling better? Now don't any of you others get sick. It isn't allowed. LOL. Keep us posted and put up some of those pictures. Well, love you all and praying that God will continue to bless.

Wow! What a thrilling report. I can't imagine seeing over 600 people saved in one day. We are praying that God will continue to use you, that your hearts will be set on fire for Him, and that you will bring that fire back to Cleveland and spread it around!!

Pete, we'd sure like to see some pictures when you get some time. Steven, when you get a chance, please e-mail or call. It is so quiet arouond here without you. McLaine, I hope you are feeling better. I have prayed for you. How horrible that you have been sick. All of you drama members -- work on those lines!

We miss each of you and are praying continually for your safety, and that God would do something very special there and in your hearts. Steven, I love you and miss you so much.

Love,

Mom

It is simply amazing what the power of God can do. That must truly be an awesome experience, and one you will never forget. So many people are praying for you all. I miss you Josh so much but this is exactly what I wanted for you. I cant wait to hear all about it when you return, and I hope for more wonderful things to happen for you. I dont think I need to ask but -- are you eating??
You know I love you so much and we miss you, even the dog -- he goes into your room and looks around for you. We will see you at the airport in Detroit on April 5, but you can look for my comments on this blog every day, as I check it about every 15 minutes looking for every bit of news I can. You are constantly on my mind -- all of you. God be with you all.

Love, Lisa Maher (mom)

Hey McLaine,

So glad you arrived safely and so excited to hear how God is using the team!

We're praying you're feeling much better now. Persevere and know that God doesn't allow anything to happen without it being for your good and His glory.

Micah wanted you to know that he's chosen you to be his missionary for his Boy's Club report.

Much love,
Uncle Glenn, Aunt Norma and your Georgia cousins!
