Hello to everyone from the Philippines. It is hot! We arrived last night around 11:15 p.m. local time here. Upon arrival we were greeted by the Filipino National Police (arranged by Pastor Laurena). They did their best to get us through customs, but by the time we all made it through it was 1:15 a.m. Seriously, we were there for 2 hours! Anyways, we then were driven by bus to the church facility. We then unloaded everything and were in bed by 2:45 a.m.
Wednesday, March 26
We awoke this morning at 6:15 a.m. Not by choice, but our bodies are just all out of whack. We had a wonderful breakfast of pancakes, bacon and eggs. We were also served Mango fruit. Everything was delicious. Right now the young people are doing their devotions. Following that we will receive a tour of the Bible college and Christian school. We will then go to visit Mayor Calex of San Pedro. He is a frequent attender of the church here. We then will visit an American World War II Cemetery. Mr. Plum has already warned us that he might get choked up (former Marine). It should be a moving time. This afternoon the girls are thrilled to have an opportunity to go shopping. Then tonight we will be in the service here. I will be preaching. I would appreciate your prayers. I will update you and hopefully have some pictures to post soon. Thank you for your prayers.

PS-Bring some of that "hot" weather back!

Love Mom...Mr and Mrs G
It is a relief to know that everyone is safe and on the ground. To say that you all are constantly in my thoughts and prayers, especially you Josh, is an understatement. Praying that God will empower you all to be a light and that you also will receive a blessing. Enjoy those pancakes. I had no idea that was a Philipino cuisine. I agree with the Billy's -- bring back the "hot" weather. I love you, Josh. I know that God will work in your heart and life this week --I am praying for you specifically ALWAYS.
Love, Lisa Maher (Mom)
